Generator: New extension for Cumulus 7.5
Creates thumbnails for assets of file type CGM for the Canto Cumulus
Client under Windows
Computer
Graphics Metafile (CGM) is a file format for 2D vector graphics, raster
graphics, and text and is very popular in the industry in the technical illustration
and documentation.
The CGM Thumbnail Generator is an extension to the Canto Cumulus Workgroup or Enterprise Client 7.5 or higher based on the Canto EJaP (Embedded Java Plugins) technology. It creates thumbnails of preview size (max 1024 x 1024 pixel) for assets of type CGM (Suffix '.cgm').
The following software is needed to convert the .cgm files into the JPEG format: CGM to Image, from Larson Software Technology, Inc. You can find more information about the software and a tryout version on the Larson web site at www.cgmlarson.com. The single user version of the software must be installed on the Cumulus Client (or a network license must be available) to allow the conversion of the files from CGM format to JPEG.

Are you missing thumbnails in your Cumulus
Catalogs?
Canto Cumulus has a lot of so called File Filters to support the different file formats that are available under Mac OS X or Windows. Anyway, there are still a lot of file format that are not supported by Cumulus filters at all or even if there is a filter for a file format, the filter is not able to generate a thumbnail or a preview for that format. But usually the thumbnail or the preview of the files are important for the user to decide, if a file should be used or not.
Therefore we have developed a technology that extends the Cumulus Client. This technology can interact with any kind of converter tool to convert whatever file format into a JPEG representation that is loaded into the Cumulus Catalog as a thumbnail. This thumbnail can also be used by Cumulus to present a preview of the file (size up to 1024x1024 pixels).One implementation of this technology is the CGM Thumbnail Generator that interacts with the CGM Converter from Larson Software Technology Inc. to generate the thumbnails.
Do you have files cataloged into Cumulus that do not show a thumbnail in the database record? New version of the Cumulus extension to find the ordered files optimised to
work with the Cumulus Client 7.5 or higher
The
Email Order System Pro is an extension to the Canto Cumulus Web Publisher Pro
(WPP) or Internet Client Pro (ICP) Option. It implements a form-based email
order technology and comes with an extension for the Cumulus Client to find
the ordered files in the Cumulus Catalogs.
The new version of the 'Collect Files EJaP' has been optimised to work with the Cumulus Client 7.5 or higher. The list of ordered files can now be loaded from a text file which makes it more comfortable to keep track of the different file orders.
